And the LORD will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt, and will wave his hand over the River with his scorching breath, and strike it into seven channels, and he will lead people across in sandals. And there will be a highway from Assyria for the remnant that remains of his people, as there was for Israel when they came up from the land of Egypt.
– Isaiah 11:15-16
When it comes to being saved from sin and slavery and death, notice that Isaiah says that God is the one doing all the work. Our salvation is truly a one-handed salvation. He is destroying the bay of the Red Sea so its waves amount to nothing. He is dividing the Euphrates into a gentle stream. He is constructing the highway from Assyria to cross over the arduous desert. He doesn’t let us find our own salvation or make our own way. He makes the way for us, leads us to himself, and saves us.
